hi all, im new to this forum and glad to see that im not the only one with foot pain.
my problem has been with me for about 5 years now, i get severe cramping of my left foot, mostly in the mornings, but generally all the time, i have been to the doctor a few times and eventually after months of waiting got physio treatment, which was a ultrasonic thing that never helped me in the slightest, the next treatment i got was an injection into the sore part of my foot ( underside, between the heel and toes) this was extremely painful, and had to be held down while it was being administered, this was okay for a month or two, probably as i was told a repeat injection would follow if it got sore again, well it got sore again, so i went to the doctors again, this time they suggest i get an operation and put my feet up for 6 months !! this would be a problem as i work offshore on the rigs
has anyone else had this problem, and if so what worked for you, if anything ?
thanks.

Sounds like Plantar Fasciitis. Have you tried a good night splint and custom made orthotics? Semi ridgid are the best, cork bottoms. Surgery is a very BAD idea I think.

Also, if it's Plantar Facsiitis I have read and been told by a doctor a "walking foot cast " worn for 6 weeks can be very effective, if followed up by wearing the night splint and orthotic inserts in your shoes.

The last reply is correct in that you may be suffering from plantar fasciitis. You can read more about this condition by logging onto our web site. I recommend the Foot Pain Relief system which is a night splint which allows for stretching of the plantar fascial while sleeping. By using this you can eliminete the intense pain during the first step in the morning. You should also be doing stretching exercises and using Ibuprofen to alleviate the inflammation. I would consult with your doctor if problem persists or worsens. Also, you can find out about this device at our web site. You should also look into a pair of the heel cradles, go with the Posted ones if you have flat feet. Please feel free to contact us again soon.
