Hello, does anyone know anything about pain on the top of the foot, if you trace your big toe bone on top from your nail towards your ankle, the pain is right about 3-4 inches from the nail (sort of where my arch is on the bottom, except the pain is on top.) I can't seem to find information about the top of the foot, only the bottom.
Thanks!

Thanks for such a detailed description. You are probably suffering from a tendinitis. This is the inflammation of the tendon and can occur from overuse, not properly stretching or from improper terrain for walking or exercising. Have you been doing any exercising or excessive walking? These are common causes of a tendinitis. The key to treatment for this is often rest, ice, compression and elevation. However, if the pain continues to persist then I recommend that you make an appointment with the podiatrist for a thorough evaluation.
