Hi, I am a 47 year old, very physically active women. I play tennis 5 out of 7 days a week. Lately I've developed itchy feet when I take my shoes off in the evening, about 1/2 hour or less after removing my tennis shoes, the bottom of my feet start to itch. Then the bottoms swell up like an allergic reaction. it usually goes away within a few hours. I also get itchy bumps all different places on my body like along my underwear line. backs of my knees, and arms. The bumps usually go away in a few hours. It's been happening for about two weeks now. Any suggestions? Thanks, Markay

Its sounds as if you could be getting irritation and possibly a fungal infection as a result of perspiration. My suggestion to you is to try and apply an antifungal powder to areas of irritation prior to your tennis. If the problem persists or worsens you should seek medical attention from your medical doctor or podiatrist as soon as possible. You may need to be prescribe an antifungal cream.
