I am hoping that someone may have an idea how to solve this problem. I have been to podiatrists and dermatologists and no one can find a solution. I do not have athletes foot. But, my feet itch so bad that I will rub them on something so hard that it causes them to callus, split, bleed and then peel. I know I should not peel them but it gets so bad that I do. Then the pain is so bad I have a hard time walking. Has anyone ever had this problem,,,, and if so,,,, have you found a solution? I am desperate and will try anything to solve this problem.

What has been ruled out? Diabeties , low back, periferal neuropathy, ect.

If it is dry callused feet. Then what kind of socks do you wear.

Need to know more your daily activities, what do you wear, is your weight normal.

Try and let your feet heal. Make sure you do not any fungal problems. Try some foot lotion with moisterising socks.

Hope you get better soon

I think everything has been ruled out. At first they thought it was psorisis, then eczema. I don't have diabetes (Thankfully) but I am overweight. Doctors have prescribed all kinds of creams and sometimes they help for a little while but this time I have been unable to get it cleared up and am very discouraged. I wear white cotton socks and I have usually put aquaphor and socks on them at night when I am not using a prescription. I get the same thing on my fingertips too but I can usually clear them right up. I have not done much exercising in the last year because of my feet. There is no fungal problems, just the incredible itching. I guess I just have to make myself get up and walk when they itch so I don't scratch them. Thanks for replying to my problem.

If your have simular skin problems on your feet and finger tips. They then I would get another opinion about your skin and what is happening. They should be able to recognise pressure calusing from being over weight.

I would recome mend synthetic sox over cotten. Silipos has some gel therapy sox you could try along with the aquaphor.

If their is shearing that could cause calusing and itching I would recomend double socking ( wearing a thin silk or synthetic sock on the inside) or anti shear socks avaiable at running stores .

Get well

I have a similar problem! Although its not always only on the bottoms of my feet. Its horrible. I scratch my feet till they bleed. I do it in my sleep! They itch SO bad!
I consulted the family "doctor", and my mom suggested that my feet are sensitive to soaps, and that I might not be getting all the soap off my feet when I shower, and that I may have an excess of soap in my laundry too.

So what I did is use very little soap in my laundry, and made sure I rinsed my feet off in the shower. Also, I went to the drug store and bought an over-the-counter, anti-itch creme. Like with Hydrocortizone and/or Diphenhydramine.
I am much better.

Yours in scratching,
