[COLOR=blue]My toe next to my big toe is bent kind of like in hammer toe, but not so much, and I can move it, also, It doesn't hurt. Could this be genetic? Because my mother has full symtom hammer toe. wink.gif

Yes hammer toes and bunion can be genetic. Also, there are different degrees to a hammer toe-- flexible, semi-rigid and rigid. So yours may be flexible now but if not taken care of it could progress to one of the other forms. Also, it is in your best interest to wear shoes that provide you the room necessary for your toes to go through their normal motions without cramping.
