I'm completely flat footed and by the inside of my foot there is a bulging even when its not flexed. Its right on the side of my foot smack dab in the middle.
This isn't a new problem but usually when I'm active on my feet (Walking, dancing, running, swimming, jumping, and sometimes just moving it wrong) that strange muscle seems to twist and strain and is pulled upward a good finger width. The pain is killer - I'm sure its a foot cramp. But it doesn't go away for like 10 -15 min and happens at least twice a day.
Should I get this looked at or am I just crazy?

No you are not crazy. If you are severely flat footed then you probably have a prominent talus or navicular which is common if the foot is severely flat. You would definitely benefit from a pair of orthotics. There are several available at our web site, the Lynco Conform posted would probably provide you with some relief. However, if you do have a severe prominence to the inside of your foot you may need a podiatrist to add an adjustment to the device or be fitted for custom orthoses. Make an appointment with a podiatrist for evaluation and further treatment.
