i have a persistant itch in the centre of my heel. It feels inside the foot and tehre is no redness or bumps or blisters on the skin. I can't get rid of it. Any ideas?

Try a heel protector. It's a cap that cups , squeeze and potects the heel from point pressure. If it will work you will feel relief right away.

I would recommend that you see either a podiatrist or dermatologist for an evaluation. You may need a topical antifungal or steroid cream to alleivate your symptoms, however, the diagnosis will need to be made by your doctor.
