I measure a 6.5 EE with a Brannock device, but this isn't wide enough. When I get wider and longer shoes, my foot slips around in the shoe (Propet Vista Walker 6.5 4E). I have a full length and a 3/4 length orthotic, but they take up too much room for regular shoes because I need to wear them with soft cushiony soles- therefore I need to have shoe depth.
I even went to a pedorthist who helps diabetic patients and they didn't stock my shoe width. :(
I've tried regular New Balance shoes (810 and 824 7.5 EE) that are too long (to accomodate some width - suggested by a trained NB shoe fitter), Dr. Comfort shoes from the podiatrist (at 7 EE - too tight still), Drew shoes that are stepped up in size and still don't fit at Parade II 7 WW, and the ones that mostly fit don't give enough support (Propet Ped Walker 2, 7 EE). I am desperate and I need shoes and sandals that fit comfortably. My podiatrist is more interested in operating on the bunion, bunionette and morton's neuroma and less interested in fitting me for shoes (must be his personality). He told me that that foot would NEVER be normal no matter what I have operated on , so I am content to leave it this way - but I need proper fitting footwear. I have spend a lot of money for shoes that need to be adjusted to almost fit and I really can't afford to buy more shoes willy nilly and depend on the bunion stretcher to make a big difference. Where can I get properly fitting affordable footwear? I live in Richardson, TX if that helps.
Thanks for any and all advice you can send my way!
