For several months now, I have had pain along the top of the foot, which hurts most while sprinting. Rest, ice and ibuprofen help a little, but I'm looking for a long-term solution. Any idea what causes this and how to get rid of it?

Dear Speedz
Do you tie tour laces too tightly???? Some atheles have a tendency to tie their laces on too tightly and this sometimes not only causes pain but also an nerve entrapment type of syndrome. Do you have a high arched foot? I would recommend that you follow-up with a Podiatrist for an evaluation, and also it would be a good idea to bring your shoes in with you.

Good-luck and thank-you for contacting foot.com
