Simple answer is yes their are things you can try. SILIPOS has a metatarsal pad that can be place over the ball of your foot.
If you have room in your shoe then their is several matereals that can be used: PQ which is a variable diromiter urathane gel, silicone ect. Your can also try several off the shelf gel inserts. Their are genetic conditions which cause unsual fats distrobution (their feet have no fat) and they have been treated with custom inserts. The bottoms of your feet are very important "Allways" try conservitive solutions first. Surgery and injections can help but they can also permantly damage your foot. As far as shoes if you are in a alot of pain their are wound care shoes that should make you comfortable until you can find shoes that are more appealing. If your symtoms are not so extream then any athletic show corectly sized with an accomadative insert should work. For cost of about $100. If I were to see you these are questions I need to know whom ever is treating should ask. Please answers any you feel comfortable answering on a open internet forum. How old are you? How long have you notice that their was a problem? how much do you weigh? What is your percentage body fat? What sise are your feet? What size shoe and what type do you wear? Please let us know what you do and how succeful your results. Get well soon |

Dear Myfoot
I would probably recommend that you try an orthotic or wearing shoes that are supportive and provide adequate cushioning to the ball of your feet prior to attempting an invasive procedure performed. Good-luck and thnak-you for contacting foot.com, SBarlizo, DPM, C Ped foot.com expert |
