If you are in a lot pain, you should see someone to have your foot checked out. It could be simple heel pain and then I would recommend you try a plastic heel protector. It could be much more so if you are in allot of pain make an appointment with your doctor or a foot health professional.

Take care

Dear Sportnut
Heel pain is usually associated with a tight achilles tendon, and may be aggrevated with increased activity, weight gain, shoe gear and flat feet (just to name a few). I would recommend that you perform some stretching exercises for the achilles tendon and plantar fascia, wear appropriate shoe gear and an orthotic device. If this approach is not effective, I would recommend that you see a podiatrist for an evaluation, in order to get an accurate diagnosis based on the physical examination and establish a treatment regime.

Good-luck and thank-you for contacting foot.com,
